Both Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire memberships are purchased so a busy season ahead awaits. I've bought tickets for the forthcoming Test against India I'm really looking forward to seeing Virat Kohli play arguably the greatest cricketer on the planet. Hotels booked in Manchester, Taunton, Worcester,Scarborough, Chester le Street & Leeds and days out planned at Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Chesterfield are making for a busy schedule. I've no idea at the moment how YCCC will get on in all 3 formats this coming season my gut tells me we will do well in the one day competition. Kane Williamson and Cheteswhar Pujara have been brought into the team Kane being a white ball specialist is the main reason to think we will do well in that field. I saw Pujara play a few times for Notts last season and he really didn't get the pulse going for me.

I'm sure us Yorkies will be talking long into the summer about Rash. It's obviously a massive blow for YCCC in their Championship campaign. His decision at Lords was staggering & one personally one I never forgave him for. There was a rumour at the time that Johnny Bairstow had said he was also too tired for this game & wanted to prepare for the winter series with Team England, however this was later retracted. Andrew Gale clearly wasn't happy at Rashids decision not to travel to London tweeting " Training all done, head down to Lords tomorrow, can't wait. This squad is ready to run through a brick wall for the county " I believe Gale never forgave Rashid for his decision but did a U turn upon becoming Yorkshires coach. Tuesday 6th March 2018 This is a list of County grounds I have visited so far in my travels. Headingley Stadium - Leeds Trent Bridge - Nottingham Grace Road - Leicester The 3aaa's - Derby Edgbaston - Birmingham The Oval - Kennington Lords - St Johns Wood Recreation Ground - Torquay North Marine Road - Scarborough County Ground - Taunton County Ground - Northampton I'm hoping to add Queens Park Chesterfield, Emirates Riverside Chester le Street & Welbeck CC Welbeck. My first game will see me at Headingley as YCCC take on current champions Essex, I shall be in attendance for all 4 days in my preferred members area. The reason I've set up this blog is to cover games, accommodation in the local areas, restaurants, pubs facilities at grounds & pretty much anything else.
